Pastoral ministry in international context does not so much teach us skills and capacities of how to take care of the poor, it provides us with an opportunity to learn how to receive and be received by the weak, the poor, vulnerable and easily discarded members of the global community …more importantly we learn to receive and embrace the vulnerable core of who we are as children of God. We learn to receive the child within us. (Fr. Dr. Emmanuel Katongole).
Welcome and join us to respond to Children’s preferences for convenient, accessible and locally available counseling services and educational support. You will be dedicated and working “so that they may have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10). Our Children focus is under "Shalom for Uganda" an NGO created in 2011 to provide hope and positive change among people and their communities. This is a service that restores the state of shālôm (שָׁלוֹם) - the Hebrew word meaning peace, completeness, soundness and welfare. This is about embodying peace among all poor children - the service of life – “Cura Vitae”. We do provide hope and positive change among these Children, adolescents; and do assisting their individual families and communities to enhance their strengths, develop new coping strategies and heal emotional wounds, and empower for Community Health.
